Spacestation will get to keep the ECS spot that the players won while playing under AZIO, FACEIT Director of Esports Roald van Buuren has announced.
In a Twitter post, the FACEIT official explained that the team were not under a contract with AZIO at the time they qualified for ECS, meaning that the league spot was tied to the players and not to the organisation.
FACEIT's decision was made public at the same time as Spacestation formally unveiled the team, who secured entry into ECS following a forfeit win over MIBR and a 2-0 victory over Gorilla Gang in the Challenger Cup.

Tension had been building around the team after AZIO had allegedly shut off the internet connection at the team house upon learning that the players had signed contracts with another organisation. In a statement, AZIO confirmed that the team were not contracted to the organisation during the ECS Challenger Cup and lamented that the players stalled negotiations over a deal that would finally include salaries.
The North American team currently sit in seventh place in ECS, with a 1-5 record. They will make their first official appearance for Spacestation in just a few hours, against eUnited.
Spacestation's roster is the following:
Trevor "FrostayK" Bandle
Gage "Infinite" Green
Michael "Grim" Wince
Ryan "Snakes" Amann
Logan "Voltage" Long
Teric "Bibby" Ingram (coach)
